PESHAWAR: Afghan Taliban Saturday denied reports that they had sent hundreds of fighters to South Waziristan where Pakistan’s security forces are engaged in a massive offensive against militants.
“The reports about sending 1,500 fighters to Waziristan to help Pakistani Taliban are totally false and baseless,” Afghan Taliban spokesman Qari Muhammad Yousaf Ahmadi told Afghan Islamic Press by telephone.
“This is our principle stance not to interfere in the affairs of any country. We strong reject these reports,” said the spokesman. more
